Zardari highlighted the significance of Sheikh Mohamed’s recent visit to Pakistan and expressed appreciation for the UAE’s ongoing support in deepening bilateral ties.

The statement noted that both leaders recognized significant potential in expanding economic and strategic partnerships. The meeting was attended by First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari (Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party), Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and the Pakistani ambassador to the UAE.

Earlier this month at the UN Security Council, Pakistan called for an “inclusive” political settlement in Yemen. They also expressed support for Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic efforts toward peace while commending the role of the UAE in the process.

A day prior to their meeting, the UAE stated that it would not allow attacks on Iran from its territory amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States.
