Pakistan’s official Hajj scheme recorded a total spending of over Rs139 billion in 2026. The government managed both long (40-45 days) and short (20-22 days) pilgrimage packages, with the former accounting for 65.2% of pilgrims and costing around Rs1.15 million each.
The latter group, comprising 34.8% of participants, paid about Rs1.2 million per person. Accommodation options added extra costs: two-bed rooms cost an additional Rs200,000, while three-bed rooms required an extra Rs67,000.
Women made up 43.5% of the government-arranged pilgrims (50,114), while men constituted 56.5% (65,182). Additionally, around 60,000 pilgrims performed Hajj under private arrangements, with costs ranging from Rs1.2 million to Rs4 million depending on services and facilities selected.
