Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding mutually beneficial trade with the European Union (EU), particularly focusing on the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+) scheme. During a meeting with EU Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis, who visited Islamabad, the prime minister highlighted further strengthening cooperation across key areas such as trade, investment, development, security, migration, and climate change.

He underscored the GSP+ initiative’s pivotal role in bolstering Pakistan-EU trade ties and expressed satisfaction over the seventh round of the Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue held in Brussels last November.
