Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos Evaluates New Nancy Guthrie Case Reports

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is currently assessing new reports suggesting video evidence may exist in the Nancy Guthrie case. This comment was made during an interview on KVOI AM 1030’s Buckmaster Show on June 26.

Nanos, while not believing the new ransom claim or listed investigation locations are real, noted that such cases often involve false or fake ransom notes, as previously reported by Newsweek. The FBI and Sheriff’s Department have released chilling photos of a masked suspect in the case.

The latest ransom note claims to reveal the identities of Guthrie’s kidnappers and includes video evidence of the main suspect. However, Nanos stated he cannot provide more details due to ongoing investigations. He also mentioned that high-profile cases often attract fake notes, which is unfortunate given the public interest.

According to TMZ, the video allegedly contains images of Guthrie on the day she was last seen, along with pictures and personal information of those involved. A significant reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the kidnappers, though authorities have ruled out Guthrie’s children and their spouses as prime suspects in the abduction.

Sheriff Nanos also noted that Guthrie’s blood was found on her front stoop during a previous press briefing.
