PM Shehbaz calls meeting on national austerity amid economic challenges

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened an important meeting today in Islamabad to address Pakistan’s economic challenges. The session aimed at approving a national austerity policy was chaired by Sharif at the Prime Minister House, where he invited key provincial leaders and representatives from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to reliable sources, the meeting would delve into reviewing the country’s administrative and economic landscape. It was expected that the discussion would result in consensus between the federal government and the provinces regarding the national austerity policy. In separate news, Sharif commended security forces for neutralizing 13 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The session also addressed economic concerns and proposed various measures to alleviate public burden. Expected decisions included recommendations for holding official meetings via video conferencing tools like Zoom, as well as the introduction of online classes and work-from-home policies.

These steps are expected to further strengthen Pakistan’s economic strategy amidst ongoing global and regional tensions.
