ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its latest forecast, predicting mainly dry weather across the country for the next 24 hours. Cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected to persist in hilly regions while isolated light rain-thunderstorms accompanied by snowfall are anticipated over high mountains in specific areas.
Partly cloudy to dry weather is projected for Islamabad with gusty winds likely during the afternoon, making it a more challenging day ahead. Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry weather is forecasted in most districts but upper regions will experience partly cloudy and cold conditions. Isolated light rain-thunderstorms combined with snowfall are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Bajaur, and adjoining areas.
In Punjab, the region can expect mostly dry weather during the day, though gusty winds may develop in plain areas by afternoon. Murree and Galiyat will see partly cloudy conditions interspersed with cold temperatures throughout morning and night hours.
Sindh is predicted to experience hot and dry conditions across most districts, while Balochistan will remain relatively cool in northern regions but warm overall. Azad Jammu and Kashmir as well as Gilgit-Baltistan are forecast to have mostly clear skies with light rain-thunderstorms and snowfall over high mountains at a few isolated places.
PMD’s comprehensive report aims to help citizens prepare for the weather conditions while ensuring safety measures are taken accordingly, especially in areas prone to harsh weather patterns.
