Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has been released from Kot Lakhpat jail, and he expressed his determination to contest the upcoming general elections with enthusiasm. Addressing the media in Lahore, Marwat mentioned facing alleged misbehavior during his time in jail.

The release follows an order from the Lahore High Court (LHC), instructing the deputy commissioner to release Marwat upon the submission of a surety bond. Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry presided over the hearing of an application challenging Marwat’s detention orders. The court had sought responses from all relevant parties, and the petition argued that Marwat’s detention was illegal.
