Rs. 850 Crore Legal Notice Served to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Wife Over Cancer Cure Claims

Navjot Kaur, the wife of former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, has received a legal notice demanding 850 crore Indian rupees over her controversial claims regarding curing cancer through diet. The notice was issued by the Chhattisgarh Civil Society, as reported by India Today.

The organisation has called on Kaur to provide proof for the claims made by her husband, Navjot Singh Sidhu, within seven days. If she fails to do so, she may be liable to pay the substantial sum for what the organisation labels as “misleading” assertions. The notice highlights concerns that Sidhu’s statements could promote negative perceptions of allopathic medicine, potentially persuading cancer patients to abandon their treatments and jeopardizing their health.

The notice further pointed out that spreading such “misinformation” puts patients’ well-being at risk and demands clarification on Kaur’s stance regarding Sidhu’s remarks.

On November 23, Sidhu made a startling announcement during a press conference, claiming that he had cured his wife’s stage four cancer purely through dietary changes and traditional remedies. He stated that his wife was cancer-free within just 40 days of following a strict diet, which included the use of coconut, olive, or almond oils instead of refined oils.

Sidhu also revealed that his wife had been diagnosed with stage four cancer, with doctors giving her only a 5% chance of survival. A U.S.-based oncologist, who is a friend’s son, had placed her survival odds at just 3%. Following this, Sidhu did further research and encouraged his wife to explore alternative treatment options. He also claimed that he treated his own fatty liver disease using the same approach.
