Salim Bikiya elected as chairman supreme council APMF

APMF website launched, elect office bearers vow to support memon community

Salim Bikiya, a prominent figure in the paper industry, has been elected as the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the All Pakistan Memon Federation (APMF) with a majority vote.

The newly elected officials include Farhan Rumi as Senior Vice Chairman, Asif Tabani as Vice Chairman, Anjum Ibrahim as Vice Chairman (USA), and Mansoor Grace as Coordinator.

During his inaugural address, Chairman Supreme Council Salim Bikiya outlined his vision of ensuring that no Memon family will be left without a home. He acknowledged the hard work of the previous leadership and emphasized the challenges ahead in continuing their mission.

Salim Bikiya mentioned plans to engage major builders within the Memon community to discuss housing schemes. Highlighting the community’s healthcare contributions, Bikiya praised Memon hospitals for providing medical services to patients across Karachi, regardless of their background.

He called upon philanthropists within the community to extend their support further, aiming to assist families living below the poverty line comprehensively. Event also marked the launch of the APMF’s new website.

Renowned compare A K Memon led the event with his distinctive style. President All Pakistan Memon Federation (APMF) Shabbir Haroon stated that the website offers detailed information about all the Memon associations and incorporates the latest research. He revealed that a research firm has been engaged to identify and address the core issues facing the community, resulting in a comprehensive welfare program.

Haji Masood Parekh, the driving force behind the Memon Khidmat Forum, congratulated Bikiya on his election. He expressed confidence that the new Chairman and the President would work collaboratively to address the community’s issues.

Former President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Younus Bashir, also extended his congratulations to Bikiya and his team, expressing optimism about their commitment to human welfare.

Memon Federation and Supreme Council leaders announced new educational initiatives, securing agreements with institutions such as IBA, Iqra, Habib, and other universities to provide educational facilities for Memon students. The event witnessed a large turnout of prominent figures from the Memon community.
