IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon chaired a meeting on Friday, to discuss the launch of an online driving license service. The meeting was attended by CPLC Chief, DIGs of Establishment, Headquarters, IT, Finance, and other senior police officers.

“This service will include the applicant’s details, license fee, and information about the bank where the fee is deposited,” said the DIG.

For renewals and permanent licenses, citizens will need to submit medical fitness certificates and Form B from certified private or government hospitals. Proposals are also being considered for medical fitness requirements for overseas Pakistanis renewing their licenses.

IG Sindh suggested that the online service be launched on a trial basis initially and mentioned the potential introduction of mobile van facilities for further convenience. “The goal of the online DL service is to provide substantial ease to citizens,” he emphasized.

He also noted that the use of modern technology will digitize driving license data, improving the organization of various license categories. “This initiative aims to enhance record-keeping and facilitate citizens effectively,” added Ghulam Nabi Memon.
