Trump Claims 48 Iranian Leaders Killed, Stopping Nuclear Threat

US President Donald Trump today claimed 48 Iranian leaders were killed in a series of military strikes launched against Iran. Speaking to international media, Trump asserted that these actions prevented Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons within weeks. He highlighted the necessity for decisive action, stating, “Things are going well. I just do what is right.”

Earlier this week, Trump disclosed he was aware of who issued orders in Iran following the reported assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Moreover, he contended that the retaliatory strikes on US bases were less severe than anticipated and suggested a more favorable diplomatic path to resolution.

In an earlier interview, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated via social media that Operation Epic Fury had commenced at Trump’s directive, labeling it as the most lethal and complex military operation in history. He emphasized Iran’s missed opportunity for agreement and warned of US non-compliance with threats against American citizens.

While no independent verification of casualty figures has been provided by the US president, these claims underscore a continued tense standoff between Washington and Tehran.
