The Government of Uzbekistan has lifted its ban on Pakistani workers, allowing them to seek employment opportunities following a recommendation from Pakistan’s Embassy in Tashkent.
The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has issued a circular confirming the decision and has directed all Protectorate of Emigrants Offices to begin registering workers to facilitate their placement while ensuring their rights are protected.
The move comes ahead of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s scheduled two-day visit to Uzbekistan in late February.
