Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) announced on Friday that its teams are “diligently” working to address the internet disruptions reported since last night.

The slowdown in network speed across the country is linked to a fault in the Asia-Africa-Europe-1 (AAE-1) subsea cable near Qatar, as confirmed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The AAE-1 cable, operational since 2017, connects several countries, including Pakistan, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and various nations in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Efforts are underway to restore stable internet connectivity.
