Amanda Seyfried has embraced her 40s as she reaches new heights in her career. Celebrating her birthday in December 2025, the actress starred in two films within days of each other: The Housemaid and The Testament of Ann Lee. Both received critical acclaim, with the latter earning a Golden Globe nomination for Seyfried.

Reflecting on turning 40, Seyfried told Porter magazine, “I’m fully embracing this new decade in a way I never thought possible at my younger age.” She expressed gratitude for her current status within the entertainment industry, stating, “I value myself differently now; it’s remarkable that I’ve made it and am doing well.”

Seyfried has relocated with her two children, Nina (8) and Thomas (5), from Los Angeles to upstate New York in the Stone Ridge area. The actress lives there with her husband, Thomas Sadoski, creating a home environment away from the Hollywood buzz.

“It’s much less of an entertainment industry noise here,” she explained. “My kids understand that I’m recognized as a person in the world and that being on TV is normal for them.”

Additionally, Seyfried noted, “They also know they’re safe at home with their privacy intact – and those are all very important things.”
