Police have claimed that Armaghan, the primary suspect in the murder of Mustafa Amir, has confessed to the crime during interrogation, with his statement recorded on video.

According to police officials, Armaghan admitted to driving Mustafa Amir’s car from Khayaban-e-Mohafiz to Dareji, where he set the vehicle on fire while the victim was still alive but semi-conscious. The suspect also confessed to torturing Mustafa with an iron rod for two hours, causing severe head and knee injuries.

He revealed that he fired three warning shots with a rifle that did not hit the victim. He further stated that he had invited another suspect, Shiraz, to his bungalow on February 6 before calling Mustafa to join them.

Authorities said Armaghan was involved in drug dealing before setting up a call center business. Investigators have also identified a girl whose DNA was found at his residence and are searching for her. Reports indicate that she was injured by the suspect on New Year’s Eve.

The exact cause of Mustafa Amir’s death will be confirmed after post-mortem and DNA reports. The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) has revisited Armaghan’s residence to collect further forensic evidence, but no weapons or blunt objects used in the crime have been recovered yet.

Meanwhile, a court-ordered medical board has been formed for the exhumation of Mustafa Amir’s body, scheduled for February 21. The board, led by Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed, includes Dr. Shri Chand and Medico-Legal Officer Dr. Kamran Khan. The process will take place in the presence of a judicial magistrate.
