Henry Winkler recently opened up about his experience on the set of Arrested Development. In a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, he discussed how he was initially hired for two episodes but ended up staying for five years.

Winkler praised the show’s cast as “amazing,” its writing as “incredibly well,” and the unique setup where creator Mitch Hurwitz could see every angle of the cameras in real-time. He recounted instances where Hurwitz would interrupt him mid-sentence, urging him to say something even funnier than he initially planned.

When asked about his favorite scene from Arrested Development, Winkler stated that he couldn’t single out one; he loved the entire show. The series, which ran from November 2003 to March 2026 and included stars like Alia Shawkat, Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Jessica Walter, Michael Cera, and Tony Hale, was noted for its ensemble cast and comedic depth.
