The power supply to Karachi and surrounding areas has been restored to normalcy following heavy rainfall on Saturday. Karachi Electric (KE) field teams are actively addressing localized faults, with company leadership closely monitoring the situation.

In line with emergency safety protocols, power supply to low-lying areas or areas with a high prevalence of illegal connections (kundas) was temporarily suspended. These areas were gradually re-energized once the weather improved, following clearance from field teams.

KE teams are maintaining close communication with city authorities to ensure efficient response and coordination.

A spokesperson for KE advised citizens to continue taking precautionary measures, including maintaining a safe distance from all-electric infrastructure.

KE’s social media platforms are available 24/7 to support customers and provide information, along with the KE Live App and WhatsApp self-service portal for assistance. Additionally, the call center (118) remains operational 24/7 to address emergency electrical complaints during rainy weather.
