Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has served a show-cause notice to Khurram Sher Zaman, a prominent party member, for the alleged misuse of Imran Khan’s name during an election rally in Karachi.
The party expressed displeasure over Zaman’s actions, including incorrect use of Imran Khan’s name and the absence of leadership in the rally.
Khurram Sher Zaman, who called an election rally in Karachi, reportedly used Imran Khan’s name inaccurately, and the party leadership including Zaman was not present during the event. The notice highlights these issues and seeks an explanation from Zaman regarding his conduct.
The notice further mentions a regrettable incident involving an alleged incident at teen talwar during the rally, leading to an unpleasant situation. It pointed out that such incidents, coupled with the absence of party leaders, create a negative image and raise concerns about the safety and discipline of the gathering.
Additionally, the show-cause notice referred to FIRs (First Information Report) filed against 4,500 workers in connection with the aforementioned incident. PTI emphasizes the need for responsible conduct and adherence to the party’s principles during the election campaign. The notice instructs Khurram Sher Zaman to submit a detailed response, providing clarification on the issues raised, within a stipulated timeframe.
Notice further said, the party aims to maintain discipline and decorum within its ranks, especially during the crucial election period.
