Asif Ali Zardari reaffirms commitment to tolerance during UAE meeting

President Asif Ali Zardari met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to promoting tolerance, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence.

The meeting highlighted the significance of fostering dialogue among diverse communities. Zardari underscored that tolerance and peaceful coexistence are fundamental values for both the state and society in Pakistan.

During the discussion, Zardari commended the UAE’s visionary leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He lauded the UAE’s national vision of tolerance and human fraternity, which has established it as a global leader in promoting harmony among various ethnicities.

Zardari praised the UAE for successfully uniting more than 200 nationalities while fostering mutual respect. He noted that these values resonate with Pakistan’s own commitment to interfaith harmony, social inclusion, and respect for cultural and religious diversity, as outlined in the Constitution and reflected in societal practices.

First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE were present at the event.
