Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a 10-day extension for electricity bill payments, as confirmed by the Power Division. The extension applies to bills for July and August 2024 and is intended to ease the burden on consumers facing difficulties.

The Power Division has directed all electricity distribution companies to implement this extension. This decision comes amid widespread concerns over record-high electricity tariffs and allegations of overbilling by distribution companies.
