Karachi residents are anticipating a much-needed respite from the dry winter spell as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning on February 3 and 4. The announcement has brought a glimmer of hope amidst the chilly weather that has gripped the city.

According to the PMD, a new western wave is set to enter Balochistan on February 1, increasing the likelihood of drizzles in Karachi by the night of February 2. The expected rainfall on February 3 and 4 may also lead to a drop in temperatures, intensifying the cold spell.
